Houston
Chronicle, Denver News Agency and Transcontinental Printing place orders to
expand their fleets of Enternet systems
In the past
few months, all three of the above customers have voiced their continued
confidence in control systems from Enternet. Enternet’s commitment to
state-of-the-art solutions and continuous improvement have sold these three time
after time.
After
reviewing options for improving productivity at its South Houston daily
packaging plant, the Houston Chronicle purchased two Goss 1472 inserters and
Enternet has installed its eNews controller on each. Previously, the Chronicle
installed nine eNews controllers in its main Kempwood plant, on both Goss
inserters and Sitma collators. Enternet now controls Sunday, daily and TMC
packaging across an enterprise-wide network.
In Denver,
the Denver News Agency, a JOA which prints and packages both the Rocky Mountain
News and the Denver Post, has added a new Goss NP-642 inserter with Enternet’s
eNews controller, now fully integrated with a new Schur palletizer and an
automated storage and retrieval system from HK Systems. Denver also reorganized
its existing inserter operations and simultaneously upgraded the eNews controls
already on them. The Denver New Agency was one of Enternet’s first newspaper
clients.
Transcontinental Printing, the fourth-largest commercial printer in North
America, just added a further bindery line controller system to its fleet
in its Owen Sound, Ontario, bindery. This brings to nine the number of Enternet™
controllers now in service in Owen Sound and Boucherville, Quebec, on Goss and Muller
Martini stitchers and binders, as well as mailtables.
