All Enternet control systems feature printer verification, assuring that each personalized package
is complete, addressed properly and in order. Schematically, here's how printer verification works:
The control system receives a PRINT COMMAND from the database and a PRINT GO message is sent to the
Ink Jet Printer along with the print instructions. The Ink Jet Printer prints the message and returns
a TAG ID message signifying print verification. If the Ink Jet Printer fails to print the message a
PRINT TIME OUT message is returned to the control system and the print data is reordered PRINT RE-ORDER
by the control system. The in-line document that was not printed is rejected. A new document is
presented and printed.
This is a mandatory feature to insure variable images are placed in the right locations, in the correct
sequence, and on the right documents. As many as eleven variable images can be printed at pre-determined
locations on a document with complete assurance that the data and sequencing are correct.
